This position will be based out of our San Antonio, Texas, location.

Reporting & Supervisory Responsibility

  • Manager of Test Engineering
  • This position does not have supervisory responsibility.

Key Job Elements

  • Work with internal teams to document engineering testing and results (both during and after completion of testing).
  • Compile collected data into graphs and tables for inclusion in test reports.
  • Collect additional test and product information as needed to complete test reports.
  • Create both internal and customer-facing reports and documentation – ensure finished reports convey all needed test details to internal and external readers.
  • Work with test lab manager to maintain lab documentation control and archive structure as well as compile/organize test reports and lab documentation for easy and logical access by internal teams.
  • Create summary report compilations as needed for external customers.


  • Associate’s Degree in a technical field (minimum)
    • Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent preferred
    • Technical writing coursework preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing of test reports or results of experiments
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in product testing or laboratory environment preferred
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, at a minimum; Visio experience preferred)
  • Document control/Data management experience preferred
  • Proven excellent grammar, reviewing/editing, and written/verbal communication skills.

Position Type, Schedule and Travel

This is a full-time position with an expected 5% travel time. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
