Key Job Elements:
Assemble/solder/braze/test components & assemblies.
Clean joints of workpieces with wire brushes or by dipping them into cleaning solutions.
Grind, cut, buff, or bend edges of workpieces to be joined to ensure snug fit.
Use Oxy-Acetylene torch to braze/solder metals.
Use testing equipment for temperature and pressure testing.
Use measuring devices, i.e. tape measure, ruler, to measure in increments as small as 1/32”.
Use of hand tools, i.e. wire/tubing cutter, plier, wrench, crimper, screwdriver, hammer, vise, etc.
Use of power tool/equipment, i.e. drill, belt sander, vacuum pump, variable temperature bath, etc.
Support and be active in safety efforts.
Support the 6S program.
Support and be active in quality efforts that reduce Process PPM and Customer PPM.
Read and understand all policies, procedures, work/test instructions related to the job you are assigned.
Ensure work is being done according to the Work Instructions and drawings.
Ensure all scrap materials and rework labor in the department is accurately documented. (NCPO)
Review BOM's and routings for accuracy.
Report any issues that may jeopardize on-time delivery and performance to standard lead time.
Provide RIE suggestions that improve processes.
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
Be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
Preferred- schooling and/or experience in basic soldering/brazing.
Ability to perform basic math, including use of calculators.
Ability to read and understand manufacturing documentation such as prints, BOM’s, routing, and work instructions with minimal assistance.
