Senior Engineer

Reporting & Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer.
  • This position does not have supervisory responsibility.

Key Job Elements

  • Develop model-based control algorithms for engine control modules (ECM) and fuel system components
  • Generate efficient, re-usable, defect-free embedded C software for deployment on microcontroller based systems
  • Validate control algorithms and software on engine dynamometers and in OEM applications
  • Build mechanical and electrical system simulations to support product development
  • Assist with our next-generation software and hardware platform development
  • Responsible for technical leadership and oversight in the company’s new product development process

Qualifications

Education

Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on control systems

Experience

  • Motivated, self-sufficient, technically diverse, and easily adaptable
  • Strong interest in working in a multi-disciplined engineering environment where mechanical, electrical, software, and calibration responsibilities are often shared
  • Experience developing software (C, assembly) for embedded microcontroller systems
  • Familiar with analog and digital electronics used in industrial or automotive systems
  • Advanced understanding of internal combustion engine operation and applications

Position Type, Schedule and Travel

This is a full-time position. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel may be required for job duties, but likely under 10%.
